There are seven continents in the world. These are Africa, Antarctica, Asia, Australia, Europe, North America, and South America. Each continent is a large landmass on the earth’s surface that is distinct from the others in terms of geology, culture, and history.

Antarctica is a continent located in the Southern Hemisphere, almost entirely south of the Antarctic Circle. It is the southernmost continent and surrounds by the Southern Ocean. It is a vast, remote and inhospitable place, mostly covered by ice and known for its extreme cold temperatures. It is located at the bottom of the world map, and it is not considered to be part of any particular country or region but it is governed by the Antarctic Treaty.
